The firm provides planning, engineering design, and project management services for state and local government agencies and is known for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions through strong client relationships, technical excellence, and responsive communication. Employees are viewed as the company&#8217;s most valuable asset, and the organization fosters a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth, teamwork, and high performance.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities of the role include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and analyze storm drainage systems, culverts, and erosion and sediment control systems for transportation and infrastructure projects.<\/li>\n<li>Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using engineering software such as GEOPAK Drainage, HY-8, and HEC-RAS.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare drainage designs in accordance with local, state DOT, and federal standards.<\/li>\n<li>Complete inlet design, spread calculations, hydraulic grade line analysis, and culvert sizing.<\/li>\n<li>Design detention ponds and perform stormwater routing calculations for increased drainage areas and impervious surfaces.<\/li>\n<li>Develop airport drainage and hydraulic designs in compliance with county, DOT, and FAA standards.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare construction plans, technical reports, and project documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Produce cost estimates and support the development of engineering specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate stormwater permitting and regulatory requirements with relevant agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Support both design-bid-build and design-build infrastructure projects while collaborating with project teams and clients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering field.<\/li>\n<li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain within 12 months.<\/li>\n<li>Experience performing hydrologic and hydraulic design for infrastructure or transportation projects.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency using drainage and hydraulic modeling software such as GEOPAK Drainage, HY-8, or HEC-RAS.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of stormwater management, culvert design, and erosion control practices.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans, and technical specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Experience preparing construction plans, cost estimates, and technical reports.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with DOT, FHWA, or municipal drainage design standards.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested?
