Aerospace Software Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Location: Como, Italy<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

An innovative aerospace company developing advanced high-altitude platforms is looking for an Aerospace Software Engineer to join its growing engineering team.<\/p>\n

The successful candidate will work closely with both the Software and Embedded Systems teams to develop, integrate, and maintain software solutions for onboard computing systems operating in near-space environments. The position involves collaboration across multidisciplinary engineering teams to support the integration, reliability, and performance of advanced aerospace platforms.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Support the definition and development of system and software requirements<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to software architecture design with consideration for reliability and fail-safe operation<\/li>\n
  • Develop and maintain software applications primarily using Python and JavaScript<\/li>\n
  • Integrate software with onboard electronics and Linux-based embedded systems<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with software and embedded teams on system integration activities<\/li>\n
  • Work with Model-Based Design (MBD) methodologies to support efficient software development lifecycles<\/li>\n
  • Conduct testing, validation, and debugging activities to ensure robust software performance<\/li>\n
  • Support software development best practices, including version control, documentation, and configuration management<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of software processes and development methodologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Requirements<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Strong experience in software development and software architecture design<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript<\/li>\n
    • Experience working with Linux-based systems<\/li>\n
    • Familiarity with Git or similar configuration\/version control tools<\/li>\n
    • Experience integrating software with hardware or embedded systems<\/li>\n
    • Strong understanding of software testing, validation, and documentation practices<\/li>\n
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Nice to Have<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Experience within aerospace or safety-critical environments<\/li>\n
      • Familiarity with aerospace software standards such as DO-178 or DO-331<\/li>\n
      • Understanding of AI or machine learning concepts<\/li>\n
      • Experience with Model-Based Design methodologies<\/li>\n
      • Embedded systems development experience<\/li>\n
      • Familiarity with high-altitude or stratospheric systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
