As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Purchasing Manager to join the team and contribute to the success of their cutting-edge projects.
As the Purchasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimising the supply chain, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and driving strategic sourcing initiatives. You will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and implementing procurement strategies to support the timely and efficient delivery of projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of technology and contribute to the development of projects that shape the future.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain for projects.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating terms and conditions to achieve optimal pricing and contractual agreements.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, including terms, conditions, and pricing, while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor and analyse market trends, evaluate supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and finance, to align procurement strategies with project goals and timelines.
- Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all procurement activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, optimising processes and implementing best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role within the renewable energy or technology industry.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools and technologies.
