My client, a manufacturing comapny based in St Gallen is seeking a Firmware Developer to join them on a permanent basis.
This is a company steeped in history and tradition yet is still developing innovative solutions. With almost 800 employees across 3 sites internationally, they are looking to grow.. could you be the next employee?
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate microcontrollers, particularly STM and ESP32, in collaboration with the hardware development team.
- Develop firmware concepts based on customer requirements, encompassing device control, communication, operation, and test strategy.
- Implement firmware using C/C++ and the CIP tool from Actifsource.
- Conduct unit tests using automated tests and/or real hardware.
- Collaborate with our laboratory technician to ensure commissioning and validation of all functions.
- Analyze error messages from the field and implement necessary corrections.
Candidate Profile:
- Completed technical training, preferably as an electrical or computer engineer.
- Several years of experience in a similar firmware development role.
- Knowledge of apps, IoT, and cloud technologies.
- Proficient in both German and English languages.
