Mechanical Engineer - Industrialisation / Automation
Salary Range - 80 000 CHF - 100 000 CHF
Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for industrialisation / automation within the battery recycling field. They are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge industrial automation solutions. If you have a strong background in mechanical engineering, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, and a knack for optimizing processes, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and implement mechanical solutions for industrial automation projects.
- Perform detailed analysis, simulations, and testing of mechanical components and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Contribute to the creation of project specifications, design documents, and technical drawings.
- Take a hands-on approach to prototype development, testing, and iteration to achieve project goals efficiently.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of materials, manufacturing processes, and suppliers to ensure the highest quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases of automation projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and industrial automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in English language, other languages a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably with a focus on industrial automation.
- Experience in designing and optimizing mechanical systems for automation applications.
- Familiarity with batteries and energy storage systems is a bonus.
- Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts effectively.
- Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
- Prior experience in project management and leading small teams is a plus.
