Electrical Engineer Traction Systems

About the job:

• Electrical design of power converters for railway applications
• Specifying components and defining technical requirements in cooperation with suppliers
• Carrying out type and qualification tests
• Cooperation with series testing and production
• Technical contact person for our customers to question requirements and define solutions
• Preparing the technical documentation required for the project
• Supporting the service department and the repair centre in analysing and finding solutions to errors
• Supporting the technical sales team

About you:

• Electrical engineer in the field of power electronics. A comparable background, such as technician HF with relevant work experience is also accepted. However, due to the interdisciplinary nature of our work, people with an equivalent degree are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience in the field of power electronics design and application.
• Knowledge in the field of drive technology or railway technology is an advantage
• Ability to take responsibility and take a leadership role in problem solving
• Experience in project management is a plus
• Good communication, spoken and written, in German and English. Other languages are an advantage.
• The ability to work in an international and interdisciplinary team
• Enjoyment of learning and new challenges
• Willingness to travel (approx. 5 %)
