Firmware Engineer (FPGA and VHDL)

Job description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled firmware engineer to join our multidisciplinary project team in the engineering department. The team is comprised of professionals in hardware, embedded software, FPGA firmware, and LabVIEW. You will work collaboratively in a team environment to develop and implement complex FPGA and System on Chip (SoC) architectures. You will be responsible for a range of tasks including specification, design, simulation, realization, and debugging. This position is ideal for individuals who are looking to advance their career in the field of FPGA and who possess a strong commitment to quality.

Job requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Completed HBO or WO course, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Technical Informatics/Computer Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of VHDL.
• Familiarity with Xilinx and/or Intel (Altera) FPGA tooling.
• Interest in hardware and embedded software is a plus.
• Experience with model-based design is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication skills, both internally with the development team and externally with customers. (ENGLISH)
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
