A multinational company based in the Schiphol area, the Netherlands is a global key player in the retail value chain and they are looking for a Tech Lead to be the lead in the technical discussions to drive the key to success and increasing customer satisfaction.

As a Technical Lead your responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop Java solutions by using Spring frameworks (any other programming language is a plus)
• Participate in decision-making within your team
• Identify and modify bottlenecks in the development process
• Work along with product owners and engineers across the team to improve continuously applications and services

As a Technical Lead it is required for you to have:

• At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8,11+ and Spring frameworks
• Working knowledge of REST eco-system
• Experience with Unit Testing
• Experience with DB (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Ability to work in a multicultural team and to communicate in fluent English.

There are bonus points if you have the following:

• Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc)
• Familiar with infrastructure (e.g. VPN)
• Working knowledge of architecture
• Experience in the Payments industry

You will be likely to succeed as a Technical Lead if you have the following:

• Problem-solving and solution-oriented attitude.
• Good communication skills with technical and non-technical staff.
• Easily to adapt to a multicultural environment with internal and external staff from different backgrounds
• Good knowledge of BackUp, Performance, and High Availability
