Job Title: BAS Installer (Building Automation Systems)

Location: Memphis, TN
Contract Type: Short-term Contract
Start Date: Immediate
Schedule: Up to ~50 hours/week
Vehicle: Company vehicle may be available (safety training required); otherwise, rental vehicle included

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced BAS Installer for an immediate, short-term engagement in Memphis, TN. This is a hands-on field role supporting a full building controls upgrade, including new controllers, devices, and front-end graphics. The ideal candidate is highly comfortable working independently in the field, reading wiring diagrams, and performing device installations and changeouts.

This role is installer-focused (not programming-heavy) and requires strong technical fundamentals in HVAC controls and building automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on BAS installation activities on-site

• Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage control cabling

• Install and wire:

  • Controllers

  • VAV boxes

  • Temperature sensors

  • Thermostats

  • Water valves (heating water systems)

• Execute light checkout and point-to-point verification

• Perform device replacements and changeouts

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and control drawings

• Support full controls system upgrades, including:

  • New controllers

  • Field devices

  • Updated graphics and front-end systems

• Maintain clean, organized, and code-compliant installations

• Coordinate with programming and commissioning resources as needed

• Adhere to all safety, site, and quality standards

Technical Environment / Experience Preferred

• Building Automation Systems experience required

• Familiarity with:

  • JCI Facility Explorer (FX)

  • Niagara 4

  • JACE controllers

• Strong understanding of HVAC control systems and sequences

• Prior experience with retrofit or upgrade projects strongly preferred

Travel Requirements

• Primary work location is in Memphis, TN

• Possible minor travel to a nearby industrial site (expected to be minimal and typically programmer-focused)

Additional Details

• Immediate need for qualified installers

• Installer engagement expected to last 3-6 weeks, with potential extension

• Weekly hours may exceed standard 40-hour workweeks

• Must be eligible to work under prevailing wage conditions

• Per diem provided per GSA Tennessee guidelines
