E-Plan Designer - Contract Role

The e-Plan Designer will be responsible for producing and managing digital design drawings for electrical and mechanical control systems used in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role involves developing CAD/BIM drawings including control panels, MCC panels, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation layouts, as well as preparing digital submission packages for planning authorities and project stakeholders.

The successful candidate will work closely with electrical engineers, civil/MEP teams, and project managers to ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. The role also supports construction and commissioning teams by providing accurate technical drawings, managing design revisions, maintaining document control, and producing final as-built documentation.

Essential Requirements

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD/BIM software

• Good understanding of control panel and instrumentation design

• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams

Contract Details

• Duration: 12 months

• Start Date: 01/04/2026

• Location: Cork, Ireland

• Daily Rate: Negotiable, depending on experience
