Salary: $40-$60 per hour
Overview:

This role is for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician who installs, troubleshoots, and maintains fire alarm and life safety systems. You'll be the technical expert ensuring systems are safe, code-compliant, and functioning properly across commercial and industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, program, and commission fire alarm systems and components (control panels, devices, and full networks).
  • Test and inspect systems to comply with NFPA 72, NFPA 70 (NEC), and local regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair system issues such as communication errors and loop faults.
  • Work with major system manufacturers like Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, Fire-Lite, and Gamewell.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and clients to deliver quality installations.

What You Need
  • 3-5 years of experience installing, servicing, or inspecting fire alarm systems.
  • Strong knowledge of addressable and conventional systems and network/loop configurations.
  • Ability to read technical documents like schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Skilled with testing tools such as multimeters and loop testers.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.

Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Level II or III Certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Experience with brands like Notifier, Siemens, EST, or Honeywell.
  • Electrical trade school or technical certification.
  • Background in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities (e.g. schools, hospitals, data centers).
