GCP – Data Engineer

NB: For this position we are only considering candidates already located within Netherlands that are able to travel 3 days/week to the office in Amsterdam

Join a fast-growing tech company that's transforming the way audiences experience content. You'll work with a modern data stack (GCP, Python, Kafka, Kubernetes, etc.) to build scalable data solutions, collaborating closely with Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams.

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and services using tools like Airflow, Kafka, ClickHouse, and GCP.
• Own data quality and performance across core datasets.
• Develop and optimize data models and storage architecture.
• Support and mentor colleagues across engineering and data challenges.
• Drive technical excellence and contribute to backlog prioritization.

About You:

• 5+ years' experience in Data or Software Engineering with large-scale systems.
• Strong skills in Python and GCP.
• Proficiency in distributed data tools (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Flink).
• Solid understanding of data architecture (scaling, consistency, replication).
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
