Java Developer (Kotlin)

Home Office - Java Developer (Kotlin) - 12 Month Contract

We are currently partnering with a leading European Technology business to recruit a Java Developer with Kotlin experience to join their team on an exciting new website project.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a greenfield build within a fast-growing, innovative tech environment. If you enjoy building scalable systems, working with modern technologies, and contributing to high impact digital products - this role is for you.

General Conditions:

• All-Inclusive Daily Rate: EUR 250-350 per day (depending on experience)
• Home Office: Full time working from home
• Language required: Fluent English
• Start Date: ASAP / March
• Duration: 12 Months

The Role:

You'll be joining a collaborative, product-focused engineering team to help design, develop and launch a new website platform. The project is in its early stages, so you'll have real influence over architecture decisions and technical direction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Kotlin
• Contribute to the architecture and technical design of a new web platform
• Build clean, secure, and high-performance APIs
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers and UX designers
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
• Implement best practices around CI/CD, testing and deployment

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong commercial experience with Java
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
