Job Title: Lead BMS Technician

Location: Oklahoma

Engagement Type: Contract / Independent Contractor (1099 or Temporary W2) Only US Citizens

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead BMS Technician to oversee installation, commissioning, and support of Building Management Systems across commercial projects in Oklahoma. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising technicians, ensuring quality delivery, and supporting commissioning and project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of BMS systems
  • Supervise and support technicians and subcontractors on project sites
  • Perform point-to-point checks, functional testing, and system validation
  • Interpret drawings, control schematics, and sequences of operation
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification
  • Provide technical guidance and support during commissioning and handover

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior or Lead BMS / Controls Technician
  • Strong hands-on experience with BMS platforms (Siemens, JCI, Trane, Honeywell, Schneider, Niagara/Tridium)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control devices
  • Ability to lead teams and work independently on-site
  • Relevant technical certifications or training preferred
