Legal Advisor

A leading renewable energy company at the forefront of the energy transition is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its growing team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with one of the company's founders and play a hands-on role in enabling the successful delivery of renewable energy projects across Germany and beyond.

Your Role

As Legal Counsel, you will be a trusted partner to management and project teams, ensuring that our growth is supported by solid legal foundations. You will focus on permitting and regulatory aspects of project development while also contributing to broader contractual and compliance matters. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys working closely with operations to make projects happen.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead legal support for all permitting and regulatory matters related to renewable energy projects.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including EPC, supply, and service agreements.
• Advise management on corporate, commercial, and compliance issues.
• Liaise with public authorities, landowners, and external legal counsel to secure project approvals.
• Monitor developments in energy and environmental law, adapting company practices accordingly.
• Collaborate closely with technical, project, and business development teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Contribute to risk assessment, contract management, and overall process improvement.

Your Profile

• Law degree and qualification to practice.
• Several years of professional experience, ideally in energy, infrastructure, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of permitting procedures, planning law, and administrative processes in Germany.
• Solid understanding of contract and commercial law.
• Hands-on attitude with the flexibility to engage directly in project implementation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Fluent in German and English.
