We're seeking an experienced Marine Electrician Lead to oversee and execute electrical projects on marine vessels and floating structures, including cargo ships, tugs, barges, and fishing vessels. This hands-on role involves leading installations, upgrades, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems-ensuring safety, compliance, and quality across all project phases.
Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical installations and system upgrades on marine vessels.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.
- Review and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Supervise and train apprentices and junior electricians.
- Support shore power, crane systems, hydraulic systems, and vessel power projects.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and deadlines.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of marine or shipyard electrical experience.
- Strong knowledge of 480VAC 3-phase systems, motor controls, VFDs, and electrical theory.
- Ability to interpret diagrams, perform load calculations, and troubleshoot systems.
- Valid driver's license and eligibility for TWIC card.
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
