Project focus
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our team on a contract basis, supporting mission-critical data center operations in Virginia. You will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing mechanical systems that ensure uptime, efficiency, and reliability of large-scale facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations of data center mechanical infrastructure, including HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, and cooling towers.
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting to maximize system performance and reliability.
- Provide engineering expertise in system upgrades, retrofits, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to ensure optimal integration of mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience with mission-critical mechanical systems (data center, hospital, or industrial environment).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water distribution, and mechanical plant operations.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on reliability and uptime.
