OSS Engineer - Telecom Infrastructure - Urgent
Location: Onsite in Umhlanga, South Africa
Duration: 12 months + extension or permanent

Role Overview
We are seeking a Network Documentation Engineer to support the creation, maintenance, and optimisation of network infrastructure documentation across optical, IP/MPLS, and B2B services. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure documentation accuracy, resource availability, and ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute work orders by documenting network infrastructure, B2B services, and related network elements.
* Produce and maintain high-quality network documentation for technical stakeholders.
* Manage technical network resources such as IP addresses, VLANs, and routing identifiers.
* Support Network Engineering teams with all documentation-related requirements.
* Drive digitalisation, process enhancements, and improvements within the documentation domain.
* Assist Network and B2B teams in optimising workflows and defining documentation guidelines.
* Contribute to network projects and represent documentation interests across initiatives.
Skills & Experience
* HF/FH degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or computer science.
* Completed technical apprenticeship with 3+ years of professional experience.
* At least 3 years of hands-on experience with optical transmission technologies (xWDM).
* Strong understanding of telecom networks, IP/MPLS, and optical systems.
* Experience using Cramer and/or Netcracker.
* Knowledge of IP/MPLS and xWDM management systems.
* Business-fluent English.
