Product Assurance Engineer - Space Opto-Mechanical Systems

We're currently supporting a leading European space technology manufacturer in their search for a Product Assurance Engineer to join their growing Quality & PA team.
This company designs and builds advanced optical and opto-mechanical systems for some of the most exciting programs in space, laser communications, and defense. As part of their team, you'll work on high-reliability hardware built for missions beyond Earth-and help ensure everything meets the toughest quality and performance standards.
What's the role?
As Product Assurance Engineer, you'll report to the Quality Lead and work across engineering and project teams to take ownership of PA activities for multiple programs. You'll also be the go-to contact for PA-related matters-internally, with suppliers, and with customers.
Expect to be involved in a range of project-critical areas, including:

Owning and implementing PA plans across programs

Leading PA reviews (FMECA, NRBs, TRRs, TRBs, MRRs, PDRs, CDRs)

Managing and reporting on Critical Items (CIL), NCRs, RFDs/RFWs, and qualification status
-
Supporting cleanroom best practices, contamination control, and PA audits
-
Collaborating closely with engineering teams and sub-contractors on all QA/PA topics

Ensuring processes and products comply with ECSS standards and customer requirements
What you'll bring:
-
University degree in a technical/engineering discipline
-
3-5 years of experience in Product Assurance or Quality roles within the space sector
-
Solid understanding of ECSS standards and how they apply to hardware PA
-
A structured, pragmatic approach to problem-solving
-
Experience working in technical, multi-cultural teams
-
Strong English communication skills
⭐ Bonus points if you also have:

Previous experience working with or managing sub-contractors

Hands-on knowledge of space opto-mechanical systems
