Senior Data Architect - Financial Services

A leading organization in the financial sector is seeking a Senior Data Architect to join its Data Governance & Architecture team. This strategic role focuses on designing and implementing a future-proof Data Reference Architecture to support scalable, high-quality data delivery across the enterprise.

Location: Amsterdam

Contract Duration: 3 months (extension possible)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of a robust, cloud-native data reference architecture.
• Ensure alignment between data architecture and enterprise strategy.
• Collaborate with internal architects and data modelers to embed best practices.
• Translate emerging technologies into actionable architectural improvements.
• Mentor teams and promote architectural maturity across the organization.

Required Expertise:

• 10-15 years of experience in Data & Enterprise Architecture (preferably in financial services).
• Strong conceptual data modeling and SQL capabilities.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure & Databricks (e.g. AZ-305 certification).
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM and SAFe methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
