Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for an AOCS Engineer on behalf of a Czech-based company specializing in CubeSat satellite components, platforms, and services since 2021. They are transitioning from internal R&D to a commercially focused enterprise. The company leverages flight-proven heritage-it's hardware has been used on missions such as Proba-3, SWARM, VZLUSAT 1, GRBAlpha, and preparations are underway for MARK 2. This company bridges the gap between research-level space tech and real-world missions by offering nimble, flight-proven platforms and subsystems plus full testing and integration services. This makes space more accessible for universities, startups, and commercial endeavours.
Key Responsibilities
* Define high-level AOCS architecture and optimize design solutions.
* Develop and maintain AOCS system and software requirements.
* Design and implement Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) strategies.
* Establish verification and validation strategies for AOCS requirements.
* Support for the entire AOCS lifecycle including commissioning and in-orbit fine-tuning.
* Collaborate with software, mechanical, and hardware teams for seamless integration.
* Identify and mitigate technical risks.
* Support mission leadership and communicate with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
* Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in AOCS development and systems engineering.
* Strong understanding of spacecraft dynamics, control systems, and AOCS principles.
* Hands-on experience with AOCS system development.
* Proficiency in requirements management, traceability tools, and validation processes.
