Naval Architect - Maritime Engineering Consultancy - Hamburg
We are working with a specialist engineering consultancy in the maritime sector focused on noise, vibration, and acoustic engineering for vessels.
They support a range of international maritime projects across vessel design, construction, and operational troubleshooting.
This role sits within a technical engineering team working on both newbuild projects and in-service vessel investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review vessel design documentation and perform acoustic/vibration calculations
- Develop noise and vibration mitigation solutions for marine systems
- Support implementation of measures during vessel construction
- Investigate acoustic issues on operational vessels
- Conduct onboard noise and vibration measurements
- Analyse data, identify root causes, and propose engineering solutions
- Communicate findings and recommendations to clients

Experience Required
- Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or similar
- 5+ years' maritime engineering experience
- Experience or strong interest in noise, vibration, or acoustics
- Familiarity with tools such as ANSYS, MATLAB, Python (desirable)
- Strong technical communication skills in English (Ideally German too)
