Project Engineer

Project Engineer | Unmanned Systems | Southern California | $135,000-$185,000

A defense aeronautics business in Southern California is expanding its engineering function and looking to bring on a Project Engineer to take ownership across the full build cycle of their unmanned platforms.

You'll be embedded across the technical and operational side of things - from early-stage planning through to hardware that actually flies. The team moves fast and expects the same from the people who join it.

Day to day you'll be:

Keeping platforms on track technically and programmatically from early development through to production readiness, running design and technical reviews, keeping cross-discipline teams aligned across structures, propulsion, avionics, autonomy, and test, and getting hands dirty with integration and field activities when it counts.

The right person will have:

• Around 5 years in aerospace or defense, with at least 2 in a project engineering capacity
• Hands-on exposure to aircraft integration, flight systems, or platform maturity
• Comfortable across avionics, power, payloads, or flight controls at a working level
• Structured approach to systems engineering without being process-bound
• Must be a US Citizen and clearance-eligible
• Open to an on-site position in Southern California - relocation support available

Compensation:

$135,000-$185,000 base salary, equity participation, and a benefits package that covers the full picture - medical, dental, vision, PTO, and more.
