Project focus
You will support the infrastructure behind a large-scale online auction marketplace. The role focuses on improving automation, scaling cloud infrastructure, and supporting a migration toward a fully AWS-based environment. You will work closely with engineering teams to build tools that streamline development workflows, strengthen system reliability, and modernize a high-traffic WordPress platform and supporting backend services.
Key skills and experience required
- 8+ years supporting scalable, high-traffic web platforms
- Strong experience building and operating infrastructure in AWS
- Extensive knowledge of serverless services such as Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB and Cognito
- Hands-on experience with AWS CDK and infrastructure as code practices
- Strong scripting ability (Linux/Unix shell, Python, Ruby or similar)
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using AWS-native tools or platforms like GitHub Actions
- Solid understanding of Git-based development workflows
- Experience with configuration management and automated deployment processes
- Knowledge of SDLC processes and development lifecycle best practices
- Experience designing and managing AWS multi-account environments
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch or X-Ray
- Experience hosting and supporting WordPress at scale
- Understanding of MySQL and/or Elasticsearch
- Ability to estimate and manage AWS infrastructure costs
