Main/Major Vestas Component Exchange

Job Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Wind Technicians to support a Vestas major component exchange project focused on main bearing and blade replacement activities. Candidates must have proven hands-on experience working on Vestas turbines and performing major component exchanges in accordance with OEM standards and site safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform main bearing exchange and blade replacement activities on Vestas wind turbines
• Execute major component removal and installation using approved procedures and tooling
• Support crane operations, rigging activities, and mechanical completion tasks
• Follow all HSE procedures, LOTO requirements, and site-specific safety protocols
• Complete inspection and reporting documentation accurately
• Work collaboratively with site management and project teams to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during exchange activities when required

Requirements

Essential Experience

• Previous experience working on Vestas wind turbines
• Proven experience carrying out major component exchanges/replacements, specifically:
  • Main bearing exchange
  • Blade exchange
• Strong mechanical background within the wind industry
• Ability to work at heights and in challenging weather conditions
• Good understanding of turbine safety and OEM procedures

Required Certifications

• GWO BST (Basic Safety Training) - valid
• Vestas D-Level or C-Level certification - valid
• LOTO 2 certification - valid
