About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Wafer Process Engineer to join our R&D team, focusing on the development and optimization of III-V semiconductor processes for InP and GaAs-based laser diodes.
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of process development, manufacturing, and supplier collaboration, with direct impact on device performance, yield, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize wafer fabrication processes for III-V laser diodes (InP, GaAs)
Improve process yield, performance, and cost efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, reliability) to assess process impact on device performance and lifetime
Support technology transfer from R&D to production
Work closely with external foundries:
Evaluate and qualify manufacturing partners
Implement and scale processes in outsourced environments
Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement
Contribute to process documentation and standardization
Your Profile
5+ years of experience in III-V wafer processing
Strong hands-on expertise in:
Lithography
Wet and dry etching
Thin-film deposition / metalization
Experience in industrial or high-volume semiconductor manufacturing
Familiarity with InP and/or GaAs technologies
Understanding of laser diodes, photonics, or optoelectronic devices is a strong advantage
Experience working with or managing external foundries is a plus
Additional Requirements
Fluent in English (French is a plus)
Willingness to relocate to the Paris area
Open to international travel
